A worn screwdriver blade deforms screw slots instead of driving them. We grind these replacement blades to 1.20mm to fit our 6899 series driver handles. When a tip chips or loses its parallel profile under heavy use, loosen the side set screw, discard the old blade, and slide in a fresh one.
The blade tip
We grind the flat tip to 1.20mm across. The faces are parallel so the steel seats firmly to the bottom of the screw slot across the full width of the head.
Swapping the blade
The shank fits into the barrel of the matching handle. Loosen the grub screw on the knurled body, pull out the tired steel, seat the replacement, and tighten down firmly.
Movement work
This 1.20mm size turns bridge screws, cock screws, and ratchet wheel mountings. A fresh edge sits square without rocking sideways in the channel.
Bench storage box
The replacement blades come in a small transparent box. It keeps spare steel separated from rough bench debris until you need to dress or swap a tip.
