We arrange these five drivers together for standard plate, bridge, and balance work. Each knurled barrel tapers down to a straight blade ground flat on the parallel flats. The synthetic swivel head turns freely under your index finger while your thumb and forefinger roll the stem.

Parallel flat blades

We grind each blade face flat rather than wedge shaped so the edges seat into the slot bottom. The sides bear against the wall of the screw head instead of riding up.

Knurled barrel body

The metal barrel carries fine knurling where your fingers grip. It gives positive purchase when breaking a stubborn thread loose or easing a bridge screw down onto its seat.

Swivel cap bearing

The colored head rotates independently of the shank. You rest your index finger on the top face to maintain downward contact while the body spins beneath it.

Set screw blade clamp

A small grub screw on the ferrule secures the blade shank inside the barrel. Backing it out releases a worn tip when you dress or replace it at the bench.
