A bracelet held on edge needs support beneath the link while you drive out a pin. We mold the 6744-P-S from soft synthetic material so metal links rest against synthetic faces rather than bare bench wood or steel. Six slots run across the block to take different band thicknesses.
Graduated slot widths
The top face is grooved with slots measuring 2.2 mm, 2.6 mm, 3.0 mm, 3.4 mm, 3.8 mm, and 4.0 mm. Choose the groove where the link sits upright without tilting sideways under the punch.
Soft synthetic body
We form the block entirely from soft synthetic material measuring 53 mm by 53 mm by 26 mm. The yielding surface accepts polished and brushed links directly against the slot walls during pin extraction.
Pin clearance below
Each slot is open through the center so driven pins and link tubes pass clear out of the bottom of the bracelet. The block sits flat on the mat while you work from above.
Bench care
Metal filings and old grease will gather inside the narrower channels over time. Wipe the grooves out with a dry cloth or wash the synthetic block in warm water before seating clean links.

A note that touches this tool
Changing a strap at the lugs
The order of work when a strap or bracelet comes off: which end of the spring bar tool does what, the difference between a fork end and a pin end, drilled lugs against closed lugs, and why the bracelet is held rather than gripped.
