We mold this support block from synthetic material to hold metal bracelets and leather bands upright on the bench. The slots give a steady seat while you address link pins with a punch and hammer. A lower relief channel leaves room beneath for the ejected pin to drop clear without catching.
Synthetic body
The molded material supports the bracelet links firmly under punch strikes. It provides a steady resting surface without the harsh contact of bare metal on the bench.
Relief channel below
The central slot opens into empty space underneath the work. Driven pins drop straight through the base rather than bottoming out against the bench top.
Slot profile
The walls keep the links upright while you align the pin punch above the hole. Holding the work square reduces the tendency of a punch to wander across the link.
Bench use
Place the block flat on your bench mat before aligning the bracelet. Other sizes and configurations in the 6744 series cover different band thicknesses and specific case shapes.

Changing a strap at the lugs
The order of work when a strap or bracelet comes off: which end of the spring bar tool does what, the difference between a fork end and a pin end, drilled lugs against closed lugs, and why the bracelet is held rather than gripped.
