Swiss Made 7871 Magic Wiper Magnetic Pick-up Tool for Watchmakers &

When a loose screw or click spring leaves the bench mat, sweeping the floor with tweezers is slow work. We build the 7871 with a wide, coated sheet and an internal magnetic strip. You run the flat surface across the floor or tray, and the magnet gathers the loose steel parts against the face.

The magnetic strip

A broad magnetic insert runs through the body of the tool. It draws dropped movement screws, set bridge pins, and small steel components against the flat surface so you can find what flew off the bench.

The coated sheet

We encase the magnetic core in a smooth, tear-resistant plastic sheet. The material is flexible enough to conform to uneven surfaces or floorboards, and it wipes clean when oil or bench dust gathers on the face.

The integrated handle

A dedicated grip section lets you pass the sheet across wide areas without dragging your knuckles. It keeps your fingers clear of dirt while you sweep beneath benches, storage drawers, or footrests.

Care and storage

The body folds down to 285mm by 82mm when not in use. You can wash the outer plastic skin with mild soap and water to clear off floor grit before returning it to the tool drawer.
