Swiss Made Red Fine Tip Oiler

The fine tip of this red oiler is shaped to gather a controlled quantity of oil from the cup and release it when touched to a jewel hole or cap jewel. We shape the metal end so the droplet transfers by capillary action rather than wiping. A fitted cap shields the working point between uses at the bench.

The fine spatula tip

We dress the metal point flat and narrow to meter lubricant onto jewels, train pivots, and pallet stones. The tip takes up oil cleanly and releases the film without dragging across the setting.

The red handle body

The body is color coded in red to distinguish this tip size immediately from the other oilers on your rack. It rests lightly in the fingers while you bring the point down to the movement.

The protective cap

A push-on plastic cap covers the working tip when you lay the tool aside. It keeps stray dust, movement debris, and lint from collecting on the metal end between oiling steps.

Bench use and maintenance

Dip the tip lightly into the oil cup rather than burying it. Clear the metal face across elder pith or dry Rodico before moving between different watch oils, keeping the surface free of dried film.
