We cut the 6767-F with two distinct working ends for changing straps and bracelets. The fine fork reaches into narrow shoulders between lug and strap, while the pointed tip compresses drilled lug pins. It comes with a cloth for wiping down the metal surfaces at the bench.
Fine fork end
The small steel fork enters the narrow space between the lug wall and the shoulder of a spring bar. It compresses the collar squarely so the pivot clears the hole without dragging along the inside of the lug.
Pointed tip
The opposite end carries a round pin for pushing through drilled case lugs. You press directly on the spring bar shoulder from the outside of the case to free the pivot without prying at the strap.
Knurled body
We machine raised knurling along the middle section of the round metal handle. Your fingers find a secure purchase close to the working tip when compressing stiff spring bars under tension at the bench.
Threaded tips
Both ends unscrew from the handle when worn or bent. You replace only the damaged steel tip, threading a fresh point or fork into the knurled stock rather than discarding the entire tool.

A note that touches this tool
Changing a strap at the lugs
The order of work when a strap or bracelet comes off: which end of the spring bar tool does what, the difference between a fork end and a pin end, drilled lugs against closed lugs, and why the bracelet is held rather than gripped.
