We grind the parallel flats on the 6899-100 blade to seat straight down into 1.00 mm movement screw slots. The knurled barrel gives your fingers purchase while the rotating head turns under your index finger. It is a dedicated driver for fine bridge and train work.
Parallel ground tip
The 1.00 mm blade has flat parallel sides that seat deep into the screw slot rather than wedging at the top edges. This shape fills the slot along its full depth.
Swivel head action
The cap turns freely on its post. You keep steady downward pressure with one fingertip while your thumb and middle finger rotate the barrel, keeping the blade upright.
Knurled grip barrel
We cut raised knurling into the body where the fingertips rest. It gives traction against oily fingers without needing excessive grip pressure when breaking a tight thread loose.
Replacing the blade
A set screw in the side of the barrel locks the blade shank in place. Loosen it with a secondary driver when the tip wears to slip in a fresh blade.
