We machine this small vise from solid brass to take bridges, levers, and flat components during block polishing. Two regulation screws give a 6mm height adjustment to set the face true against your lap. The jaws open to a maximum opening of 25mm to secure irregular parts across the bench.
Brass jaw body
We cut the body from brass so it takes the dressing paste without galling your laps. The material carries enough mass to keep small components steady as you run them over a tin plate.
Two adjustment screws
Two threaded thumb screws control the tilt and allow 6mm of height adjustment. You level the work directly against the polishing block by feel before charging the lap with compound.
Maximum opening
The clamping face spreads to a maximum opening of 25mm between its contact points. This span accepts movement bridges, balance cocks, and shaped steel blanks without bending fine pivots.
Bench storage
Keep the vise clear of dry compound between passes with an alcohol dip or pegwood. Store tool 7203 wrapped in clean paper to keep grit off the guide threads.
