We supply 8033 as an anti-static formulation of our classic cleaning putty. The material absorbs stray oils and takes up fine particles without requiring wet solvents on assembled work. Pre-cut pads peel from the block as needed, ready to dress onto a pegwood stick or work between the fingers.
Anti-static formulation
The compound dissipates static charge during contact with movement blanks, balance assemblies, and circuit carriers. It collects loose debris without leaving greasy deposits behind on bridges or train wheels.
Pre-cut pad format
We score the block into separate segments before packaging. A watchmaker can separate a small piece for immediate bench work without tearing the main block or exposing unused compound to workshop dust.
Application on pegwood
Tear off a corner and press it over the tapered tip of a pegwood stick. The putty holds its shape against pivots, cap jewels, and train bridges where direct finger pressure cannot reach.
Packaging and storage
Each block arrives wrapped in anti-static film to keep the surface free of grit before use. Keep the remaining pads sealed between service steps so the material does not collect airborne lint.
