We cut the working face of the 5901-P27 key to seat over a 3.65 mm screw-on pusher. It grips the splines around the collar so you can run the thread home or release an old tube. The action follows the pattern of a splined case key, sized down for flank work.
Pusher socket profile
The socket matches the 3.65 mm fluted profile used on screw-on chronograph push pieces. It engages the exterior notches directly, letting you apply turning force around the circumference rather than wedging against a single flat.
Threading and extraction
Use the key to break factory thread sealant or wind a replacement tube down against its gasket. The body remains coaxial with the pusher tube while you turn, keeping the rotation square to the case wall.
Handle grip
The exterior of the tool is turned with knurling to give your fingers purchase against oily threads. You feel the initial bite of the thread without needing a heavy hand.
Bench storage
We mark the size directly on the body so it stays distinct from other 5901 variations in the tray. Keep the socket clear of dried thread locker by wiping the interior after each case assembly.
